I was never a plan-ahead person.
When it comes to deciding where to eat while traveling, we just type “breakfast/ lunch/ dinner near me” in the Google search bar. Let Google guide us. We believe it’s the best way to eat like a local.
And that’s how we found Andrews coffee shop!
It was the next day we arrive Manhattan. We woke up so early.
Craving for food. So we asked Google and Andrew’s coffee came up as the nearest breakfast around us and also with high reviews!
We walked 5 blocks to get there.
Andrews coffee shop seems to be a popular spot in the neighborhood.
It was only 6:00 in the morning but the staffs were sooo friendly and gave us genuine, heartwarming welcome.
Andrews Coffee serves typical American breakfast – Omelettes, pancakes and waffles!
He ordered Meat Lovers Omelette.
And I had a hard time deciding – as always.
There’s just too many choices!
The waitress told me that I should definitely try their Apple Cinnamon Pancakes. So I ordered that one, and added additional Bacon!
For the coffee, I did not know that we can get free refills until one of their staff came and offered us more coffee!
Hot tea and hot coffee – refillable!!
I really wanted to sit there all day~
Milk for black coffee –
they are so generous, gave us a whole cup of milk
Milk must be really cheap in the US. 😀
He drank a lot of milk XD
Not only added into his coffee but also drank it directly… He said its delicious LOL
Here is his “Meat Lovers Omelette”
When I saw the bill, I told him that “Oh my God. Our breakfast is so expensive!” (with 20% tips!)
But afterwards I realized, it’s not expensive at all.
There were much more food that were more expensive than this meal haha
Living in NY is hard… 😳
When the waitress saw that I did not finish my pancake, she gave me a box for take away. She is so nice and thoughtful. I really like her.
Highly recommend to have breakfast at Andrews Coffee Shop when you are traveling in Manhattan. It’s such a nice place for breakfast. Good food, great service!
